On November 22nd, 23rd and 24th, Earthcube attented the Forum Innovation Défense conference in Paris, organized for the first time by the French Defense Innovation Agency directed by Emmanuel Chiva.
During those three days, industrial companies, SMBs, startups, researchers, investors, public actors, students and innovators gathered to prepare the Armies of tomorrow together.
The conference has been a great success for Earthcube, who was invited by the Direction du renseignement militaire, the army intelligence department, for winning their Intelligence Campus challenge. The objective was to develop a technology that would enable the detection and recognition of objects within a high-resolution satellite image.
We were also given the opportunity to pitch our strategic sites surveillance solution many times as well as participate in a panel discussion to discuss the potential applications of AI in the battlefield, for intelligence purposes, or even cybersecurity.
Eventually, we were visited by many French Defense personalities: Mr. Joël Barre, Mrs. Caroline Gervais, Director of the Intelligence Campus project, and François Marchessaux.
The French Ministry for the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, paid us a visit, accompanied by Mounir Mahjoubi, Secretary of State for the Digital Economy, and Emmanuel Chiva.
Arnaud Guérin, Earthcube’s CEO & co-founder, was given the opportunity to present the company to the Ministry, who assured us that she intended on following us very closely from now on.
