PRELIGENS STRENGTHENS ITS LEADERSHIP TEAM AND STRUCTURES ITS GOVERNANCE TO SUPPORT ITS NEW GROWTH TRAJECTORY

Paris, April 18, 2023 – Preligens announces the arrival of Jean-Yves COURTOIS as CEO. As explained yesterday to the teams by the co-founders, this appointment responds to their objective of pursuing the very strong development of the company they created in 2016, which is now a leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence serving Defense and Intelligence. The arrival of Jean-Yves COURTOIS to this key position in the management team is accompanied by an evolution of Preligens' governance towards a structure perfectly adapted to its renewed ambitions and strong prospects.

In its 7 years of existence, Preligens has experienced exceptional growth, the pace of which has never faltered. Thus, the French company, based in Paris and which has just opened a center in Rennes, is now present in 5 countries and employs more than 280 employees.

Faced with an unprecedented quantitative explosion of data, particularly satellite data, the unique performance of Preligens' AI algorithms for Defense and Intelligence has made it a reference player in this field at the international level, and one of the first technological partners of the French armed forces. This strategic cooperation took a decisive step in October 2022 with the signing of a multi-year Defense or Security contract, called "Tornade", for an amount of 240 million euros over a duration of seven years (See the press release).

In this extremely promising context, Preligens continues to accelerate both in terms of technological excellence, in terms of product innovation and diversification, and in terms of international expansion, with an intensification of its presence in the United States, a clearly stated export priority.

The arrival of Jean-Yves COURTOIS and the accompanying governance evolution aims to provide Preligens with a management team and an organization in perfect order to approach the next stages of its development serenely.

Jean-Yves COURTOIS appointed CEO

A graduate of Polytechnique, holding a PhD in quantum physics and a habilitation to supervise research, Jean-Yves COURTOIS started his career with 5 years at the Direction Générale pour l’Armement (DGA) before joining Thales where, four years later, he became CEO of Thales Microsonics. He then led Temex, a manufacturer of electronic components for Telecom, Defense, and Space, for 4 years. In 2006, he co-founded Orolia, which became the world leader in resilient positioning, navigation, and synchronization solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and safety of critical operations for its customers. He developed the company internationally, particularly in the United States, which represented 60% of Orolia's turnover at the time of its sale to Safran in July 2022.

A reconfigured leadership team

With the arrival of Jean-Yves Courtois, the current founders and leaders have redesigned the organization and distribution of their roles to best serve the company's growth strategy.

Thus:

● Arnaud GUERIN, Chairman of the Strategic Committee and Deputy CEO Product & Technology, will be responsible for steering the company's product development to continue to serve its customers best.

● François BOURRIER-SOIFER, Deputy CEO Growth & Customer Operations, will be responsible for accelerating the company's commercial development in France and internationally and ensuring the efficiency of deployments and customer satisfaction.

● Renaud ALLIOUX is in charge of the technological and innovation strategy. He becomes Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) with the aim of anticipating technological disruptions to put them at the service of products and thus ensure the company's competitive advantage, particularly in the field of AI.

Arnaud GUERIN, Renaud ALLIOUX, and François BOURRIER-SOIFER, co-founders and leaders of Preligens stated: "We are very happy that Jean-Yves COURTOIS, after having accompanied us as an investor and administrator, is joining us today in this operational role. It is an extraordinary opportunity to be joined by a manager who has successfully passed the different stages that Preligens must go through in the coming years: international development, acquisition of technological gems, pursuit of hyper-growth for a turnover quickly expected to exceed 100 million euros... With his experience in the technology world serving the military and his exemplary career as a French industry leader in tech subjects for Defense, Jean-Yves is a key recruit for Preligens. His arrival follows in the footsteps of other very high-level profiles who have joined Preligens' management team in the past, such as General (Ret.) Grégoire de SAINT-QUENTIN. With this appointment, Preligens aims to have the best possible skills and to organize them optimally to address the challenges of the present and the future."

Jean-Yves COURTOIS said, "It is with great enthusiasm that I am joining Preligens' management team today. I know this company very well, and I have followed it with attention and interest in all stages of its development. This French technological gem is built on a very solid foundation and has already covered a very good path. The excellence of its solutions and its human capital are major assets for the future, and I am very honored to contribute to its trajectory of growth, which I am convinced will be long and remarkable."
