Tip&Cue Episode #13 RUSSIA-UKRAINE: Key detections over a year of conflict

On February 24th, 2022, Russia started its full-scale invasion in Ukraine. Optical satellite imagery has been a key intelligence data source in understanding the dynamics and day-to-day development of the conflict. Preligens, which develops AI applications for intelligence data and has specific expertise in exploiting satellite imagery, has witnessed salient situations within its AI tools - such as troop movements, patterns of life and unusual behaviors.

This Tip&Cue video gathers some key detections made by our AI detectors over the months of conflict. From an initial and critical stand-off at Hostomel airport at the very beginning of the conflict to changes in Taganrog, Engels and Belaya airbases’ orders of battle, going through the study of the helicopter combat temporary base located in Mazyr, Belarus.

In all these situations, Preligens' AI technologies help intelligence experts in monitoring military activities by saving them a lot of time and highlighting abnormal patterns.
